Protea: Reinforcement of winches on Wind Lift 1 Jack-up
Protea performed a modification of crane winches on Wind Lift 1 jack-up, a specialized vessel for construction of offshore wind farms with a 500T capacity crane.
The scope of work included re-designing, manufacturing and assembly of new steel elements on the main winch, boom winch and auxiliary winch to increase their functionality. All work was done at the shipyard in Germany by our qualified service team and the modernization was certified under DNV GL.
