Polish Shipping Association accepted into ECSA from the beginning of 2024

As of 1 January 2024, the Polish Shipping Association (joint representation of the Polish Shipowners’ Association and the Polish Association of Shipping Companies) has officially joined the European Community Shipowners’ Association as the 21st participant.

“ECSA is proud to welcome the Polish Shipping Association as a full member as of 1 January 2024,” – ECSA’s official communiqué said.

The Polish Shipping Association brings together the Polish Shipowners’ Association (ZAP) and the Polish Union of Shipping Companies (PZPŻ).

“We are proud to welcome the Polish Shipping Association as a new member of ECSA. The Polish Shipping Association expands the geographical reach of our membership, brings additional experience and knowledge and further strengthens the position of European shipowners in Brussels,” – ECSA Secretary General Sotiris Raptis said.

Marcin Talwik of Żegluga Polska SA, representing the Polish Shipping Association, said:

“We are delighted to become part of ECSA and to share our knowledge and experience with colleagues across the EU. ECSA membership will allow us to strengthen the voice of Polish shipping to EU decision makers. Polish membership is a testament to ECSA’s work as a focal point for the European shipping industry in Brussels.”
