PKN Orlen CEO: we have merged with PGNiG Group of Companies

We have merged with the PGNiG Capital Group. With this, we finalise the acquisition processes, thanks to which we enter the group of 150 largest companies in the world, PKN Orlen CEO Daniel Obajtek announced on Twitter on Wednesday.

PKN Orlen announced on Wednesday morning that, based on data from the Central Information Office of the National Court Register, it had become aware of an entry in the Register of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register on November 2, 2022 by the District Court for Łódź-Śródmieście in Łódź, XX Commercial Division of the National Court Register, of the merger of the company with PGNiG, an increase in the share capital and amendments to the articles of association of PKN Orlen adopted by the Extraordinary General Meeting of that company in September.

– We have merged with the PGNiG Group. In doing so, we are finalising the acquisition processes, thanks to which we enter the group of the 150 largest companies in the world. We have created the potential for multi-billion dollar investments strengthening the security and independence of energy in Central Europe,” PKN Orlen’s CEO wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
