Mostostal Pomerania’s new major contract in the Norwegian offshore market

Mostostal Pomorze SA has announced that it has signed the largest contract in its history – worth more than PLN 100 million – with the Norwegian energy company Aker Solutions.

The structures executed by Mostostal under this contract will be delivered to the Yggdrasil oil and gas field in the Norwegian part of the North Sea operated by Aker BP ASA. The entire Yggdrasil field will be operated remotely from an onshore integrated operations centre and control room in Stavanger.

With this investment, Aker BP will set a new standard for operating the field, with remote operations, unmanned platforms, new technology and data-driven decisions and work processes.

Mostostal Pomerania’s scope of work includes the construction and delivery of the extraction platform sections. The work includes prefabrication and assembly of the steel modules, installation of supporting infrastructure and corrosion protection.

“Our priority, as always, is to deliver the construction on schedule, while maintaining high safety and quality standards,” – said Arkadiusz Aszyk, CEO of Mostostal Pomorze.

The contract will commence in the fourth quarter of 2023 and be completed within 18 months.
