Intermodal ro-ro terminal in OT Port Gdynia
OT Port Gdynia Sp. z o.o. with the support of the European Union is implementing the project “Retrofitting of the intermodal ro-ro terminal in Gdynia
by OT Port Gdynia Sp. z o.o.”, which consists in equipping the Company with specialist transshipment equipment for handling cargo in intermodal units (semi-trailers, containers) and IT equipment supporting the handling of these cargoes.
The purchase of modern equipment will affect the development of the terminal and will contribute to the improvement of its competitiveness in the TEN-T network corridor. OT Port Gdynia will increase its transshipment capacity of intermodal cargo units, as well as ensure a higher timeliness of transshipments on regular connections. As a result, thanks to the implementation of the project entitled “Retrofitting of the intermodal ro-ro terminal in Gdynia by OT Port Gdynia Sp. z o.o.”, the Port of Gdynia will be able to offer the following services The company will have a modern infrastructure at its disposal, which will translate into a higher transhipment capacity.
The project is co-financed by the European Union from the Cohesion Fund under Measure 3.2 Development of maritime transport, inland waterways and multimodal connections (group C intermodal transport) of the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2014-2020 (www.pois.gov.pl).
The value of the project is: 17 078 992,80 PLN
The amount of the grant awarded from the EU funds is: 6 942 680,00 PLN
