Duda: Vistula Spit diversion to be one of Poland’s development impulses
The Vistula Spit Recrossing is to be one of Poland’s development impulses, President Andrzej Duda stressed on Thursday. He assessed that the investment could also contribute to the development of tourism in the region.
The President, who along with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited the construction of the Vistula Spit diversion on Thursday, said that it is becoming an element of the great investment plan for Poland that the government intends to implement.
He added that he hopes that the future planned investments, as well as those realised e.g. on the Spit, “will be an impulse for development for Poland”.
Andrzej Duda hopes that once the investments on the Spit are completed, it will also become a tourist destination.
We hope that investments such as this will not only revive tourism, but above all will greatly strengthen it in the future, and above all that these great investments will be a great developmental impulse for Poland, and that they will result in the modernization of our country, an increase in the quality of life of its inhabitants, a gradual increase in salaries, all this that we want so much, i.e. an approaching standard of living of the richest countries in Western Europe – said the President.
