Additional PLN 2.3 million for reconstruction of the port of Puck

Today, Friday, 28 May, marshal Mieczysław Struk, Puck mayor Hanna Pruchniewska and her deputy Piotr Ciskowski will sign an annex increasing the amount of the EU subsidy for the project of extension and reconstruction of the port in Puck. The additional funds amount to nearly PLN 2.3 million.

The Pomeranian Voivodeship Board supported the project with additional EU funds in response to the request of the city, which indicated, among other things, an increase in the costs of the investment in relation to the initial estimates prepared at the stage of submitting the application for funding.

Additional funds for the implementation of the project “Expansion of the reconstruction of the port in Puck to enable the development of its fishing, tourist and sailing functions – ETAP I” amount to PLN 2.3 million.
Ultimately, after the ZWP granted additional funding, the total value of the project amounts to PLN 32.8 million, with EU funding amounting to PLN 22.3 million.

Thanks to the reconstruction of the port the capacity of the marina in Puck will increase, and the accompanying infrastructure will contribute to an increase in the standard of services related to access to port services.

The part of the investment covered by the EU funding will include: the construction of a part of the North Breakwater to protect the Fishing Basin against excessive waves, the construction of a permanent connecting pier 180 m long together with three floating piers for yachts, as well as the preparation of the base of the port. As a result, 98 new mooring places for yachts will be created in addition to the existing ones.

The funding comes from the Regional Operational Programme of the Pomeranian Voivodeship for 2014-2020. The planned completion date for the project is 31 December 2022.
